This is about a way of doing life in the Kingdom
We believe life in the Kingdom means life in community.
The Lifelong Learning Community, or L3C for short, is exactly what it sounds like: a community of people from all stages and walks of life committed to cultivating a posture of continual learning.
Through rhythms of personal reflection and community interaction, we share our stories, struggles, and discoveries as we engage the implications of following Jesus in our daily lives. We learn and grow together, think creatively and share vulnerably, encourage and sometimes challenge each other as we move beyond our boxes and blind spots en route to living more unleashed and fulfilling lives.
What is a Lifelong Learning Posture?
As we understand it, a lifelong learning posture involves:
- An intentionally reflective posture that looks for the "why" behind the "what", doing business with God at a heart level, extracting insights and meaning from our daily experiences so that we and others can continually grow.
- A commitment to embrace new seasons and new challenges as opportunities to learn and be stretched, rather than threats to our status quo.
- A desire to share the journey of life with others, to glean from their experiences and benefit from different perspectives.
- A readiness to cultivate and apply the disciplines of reflection, interaction and curiosity in the course of everyday life.
- A willingness to acknowledge our own constraints, accepting that there is always something new to learn.
The Lifelong Learning Community might be just what you've been looking for.
Are you tired of feeling isolated as you navigate the ups and downs of life? Want to more intentionally engage your own growth, but not sure where to start? Hungry for a community of like-minded fellow learners?
Join NowWho is the Lifelong Learning Community for?
The L3C is for anyone ready to invest time and energy into their own growth, and to engage openly and authentically with a community of fellow travelers and Jesus-followers on that shared journey.
"It's great to have a place to try to figure that stuff out, and have meaningful conversations about it without concern that it will push someone off the edge of the cliff. Which comes down to safety. My experience has been that [this] is a place where everyone is OK with me not being OK. I love the powerful questions, and watching people interact around questions that really cut through the baggage. It's great to be in a community of people who value growth and authenticity." - D.C.
