Ask a hundred people to describe their walk with God, and you'll hear a hundred different stories. We all share many enduring questions - about origin, purpose, character, and destiny, yet our experiences and conclusions vary widely. Our journey often plays out differently than we thought it would; sometimes painful or difficult, other times simply confusing or circular. Surprises and unmet expectations can leave us wondering "Am I still on track? Is there even a track to be on in the first place? Maybe I missed the boat somewhere along the way?"
The Bible is rich with stories of men and women who pursued God in the midst of the very same questions. Their lives and legacy invite us to press forward along the paths they first marked out.
In this Bible study we'll take a closer look at one of them: Abraham, "the Father of the Faith" himself. Happily, his story isn't just a record of ancient events, but a field guide that resonates deeply with our own story. Abraham's journey helps us better understand the nature of the journey that God Himself is inviting us into, freeing us to engage the adventure with greater clarity and joy along the way.
